A the Centre for Sustainable Communications (CESC) there is an opportunity to perform a Master thesis aiming to assess the environmental impacts related to videoconference solutions. This thesis will include a life cycle assessment (LCA) of a specific case, using the SimaPro LCA software available in computer labs at KTH. The specific goal and scope of the study will be defined in collaboration between the student, the supervisor and participants in an on-going project at CESC (Drivers and Barriers for mediated meetings).

The thesis work will include the general process stages of an LCA:

• Goal and scope
• Inventory
• Impact assessment
• Interpretation
